Sherry Goyal is an Associate Partner in the Direct Tax Practice at DMD Advocates, bringing over 12 years of extensive experience in tax litigation and advisory. Her deep understanding of both domestic and international tax frameworks, combined with her strong litigation background, positions her as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex and high-stakes tax disputes. Sherry’s practice encompasses a wide range of direct tax matters, including Transfer Pricing, international taxation, and proceedings under statutes such as the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act (PBPT).

She has successfully represented numerous international and domestic clients, including several multinational corporations and industry leaders, before major adjudicatory authorities across India. Her appearances span the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), the Appellate Tribunal (PBPT), multiple High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India, highlighting her comprehensive advocacy experience and command over diverse forums.

Prior to joining DMD Advocates, Sherry served as Senior Legal Counsel at Bharti Airtel, where she managed pan-India tax litigation involving both direct and indirect taxation for the company and its group entities. Earlier in her career, she was associated with Lumiere Law Partners, where she advised and represented leading multinational corporates in contentious and advisory tax matters. Sherry is an alumnus of Gujarat National Law University.
