Tushar Joshi is a Counsel at DMD Advocates with over a decade of experience in indirect tax litigation and advisory. He has a strong reputation for his in-depth understanding of complex tax regimes and for delivering practical, business-oriented solutions to clients.
Tushar handles a broad range of issues relating to Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs, Service Tax, Special Economic Zones (SEZ), and the Foreign Trade Policy. He has advised clients on tax implications of cross-border transactions, classification and valuation issues, input tax credit disputes, refund claims, and compliance matters. He represents clients before adjudicating authorities, appellate forums, Tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court of India.
He also has significant experience in handling sensitive investigations and enforcement proceedings conducted by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI), Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), and the erstwhile Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence (DGCEI).
Tushar has advised and represented clients across a wide spectrum of industries including broadcasting, electronics, power, IT, telecom, infrastructure, alcoholic beverages, oil and gas, among others
He holds an LL.B. from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and a B.A. (Hons.) in Economics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Prior to joining DMD Advocates, Tushar was associated with Trilegal and Advaita Legal.
